La pâtisserie Baking Camp-Summer 2026!
Do you like to bake and crave learning more about la pâtisserie and la cuisine? Bakers will learn about a different French pastry each day: the history, the ingredients and baking techniques and then we make it and, of course, eat it!
We eat half of what we make at the end of each day, saving half for our Friday dégustation (tasting). We also learn about organizing a dégustation party, creating menus, making party decorations and hosting a special event. All of our efforts and hard work is showcased during our dégustation on Friday when, for the last 45 minutes of camp, friends and families are invited to come in and enjoy our pastries! Bakers go home with a cookbook of the recipes so they can make them again at home! They also go home with tons of confidence that they can bake and a greater appreciation of the French language , francophone cultures and history!
Through the art of baking, bakers will be exposed to the French language and francophone cultures. We will learn songs, salutations and baking terms in French. When bakers are in their rotation groups, they will be grouped based on any previous French language experience. No prior French language experience is necessary for ages 6-12, and at least some French knowledge for ages 12-16.
Email Madame Rebecca if you have more questions about our French baking camps.
