La pâtisserie Baking Camp-Summer 2023!

Learn about the art of la pâtisserie! Bakers will learn a different French pastry each day: the history, the ingredients and baking techniques and then we make it and, of course, eat it!
We eat half of what we make at the end of each day, saving half for our Friday dégustation (tasting). We also learn about organizing a dégustation party, creating menus, making party decorations and hosting this special event. All of our efforts and hard work is showcased during our dégustation on Friday when, for the last 45 minutes of camp, friends and families are invited to come in and enjoy our pastries! Bakers go home with a cookbook of the recipes so they can make them again at home! They also go home with tons of confidence that they can bake!
We offer 2 types of baking camps this summer based on your language preference:
1-Baking en français: Baking through the French language. Instruction is mostly in French and bakers should feel ok with hearing French most of the time. Bakers do not need to be fluent in French, but should be ok with hearing it and eventually speaking some French. French will be used by the camp leaders about 90% of the time. Since we have the same routine everyday, campers do get very used to hearing the history of the pastry, the ingredients and the baking techniques in French. Campers should have at least one experience already hearing and using the French language.
2-Baking sprinkled with French: Campers learn the French names of the pastries, ingredients and baking techniques, English is used most of the time with a sprinkle of French.
Email Madame Rebecca if you have more questions about which camp may be the best fit.
